Second Opinion Vet in Worcestershire
We understand that sometimes pet owners may wish to seek a second opinion to discuss their pet's care.
Often this is to confirm what your usual vet has said, or sometimes you may seek additional advice.
At Brentknoll Veterinary Centre, we are happy to offer second opinion consultation with our senior veterinary surgeons for registered and non-registered clients.
As a second opinion client, you have every right to return to your usual veterinary practice after your appointment with us. Our vets will assess your pet's condition and make our recommendations for ongoing treatment; if necessary, we are happy to discuss the case with your usual practice.

What to expect from a Referral at Brentknoll Vets:
After receiving a referral request from the vet (either by email, fax or phone) our referrals nurse will ensure we have the relevant history, referral letter and client. We will then contact you directly to arrange a suitable appointment time.
The referral consultations is a 30-minute appointment where we will fully examine your pet and discuss treatment plans with you. This will usually involve diagnostic tests i.e. ultrasound, ECG monitoring etc but varies for each case.
Your pet will be discharged, and the findings will be discussed with you, along with our recommended treatment plan. A copy of this treatment plan, along with the referral report is forwarded to you and your vet practice as soon as relevant results are available.
